Romania, Greece and Bulgaria signed an agreement on regional gas infrastructure

Romania, Greece and Bulgaria want to collaborate in order to develop a regional infrastructure for natural gas, the countries signing an agreement on December 9th 2014. The cooperation agreement was signed in Brussels by the energy ministers of the three states. Romania still lacks an interconnection with Bulgaria’s natural gas grid, despite the existence of a project to construct a pipeline between Giurgiu and Ruse. The natural gas pipeline, an investment of approximately €24 million, will be completed by 2016.
